Every two years, the City of Munich awards prizes for fine arts, architecture, design, photography and jewelry. The exhibition shows works by the artists and designers nominated by the members of the five juries. The exhibition of all nominees for the awards has been shown in the Rathausgalerie for the first time in 2024. Positions from the fields of fine and applied arts come together here. With their contributions, the 32 positions provide an insight into Munich's young, creative scene. The awards are each endowed with 8,000 euros as a recognition for outstanding artistic achievement. The entire body of work to date will be judged. Based on the jury's recommendations, the city council will decide on the award at the end of April 2024. The award ceremony took place on May 2024 as part of a public event in the Rathausgalerie.
The Winner are Siyoung Kim, Minjae Lee (Visual Arts), Victoria Schweyer & Jana Wunderlich (Architecture), Claudia Klein (Design), Lorraine Hellwig (Photography), Takayoshi Terajima (jewelry).
