PREVIEW 2026
Our exhibition season 2025 at the Rathausgalerie comes to an end on December 17, 2025. This marks the end of a successful year for the Rathausgalerie: to date, over 65,000 visitors have viewed the exhibitions curated by the Department of Arts and Culture and, most recently, the exhibition of the Stadtmuseum's photo department, which ends on December 17, 2025. In over 90 guided tours, Workshops and other events, visitors were able to engage with the artworks in greater depth.
Nevertheless the historic tax hall, where the Rathausgalerie is located, will be closed to the public from December 18, 2025 for approximately one year due to renovation work in the city hall and will serve as an interim post office for the city hall.
We will therefore continue our exhibition program 2026 at art locations nearby:
On April 16, 2026, the Rathausgalerie will be opening an exhibition at DG Kunstraum (Finkenstr. 4), celebrating the anniversary '100 Years of GEDOK'. It is a multi-part exhibition project involving various institutions.
Shortly after that, probably starting in mid-May, the Rathausgalerie is offered the wonderful opportunity to show another exhibition: A solo exhibition by artist Philipp Messner at Villa Stuck!
We are very grateful for those two generous invitations and look forward to new collaborations with great anticipation!
Don't forget to visit our website for updates or follow us on Instagram and Facebook if you don't want to miss anything.
We wish you a wonderful Christmas season and a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2026!
