The exhibition INSTRUMENTALIZED! by Beate Engl, Justin Lieberman and Pancho Schlehhuber shows an expansive installation in the Rathausgalerie with a prepared pianola that works without human operation. This unusual apparatus is "programmed" with a paper music roll whose punched-out dots depict a star map of the night sky. At the same time, a light source projects the constellations into the room through the perforated paper roll. The result is a superimposition of delicate, lyrical light effects in the room and a sound reminiscent of the abstract compositions of the early 20th century.

Admission to the exhibition and participation in the events is free.

The events in German Sign Language are sponsored by Koordinierungsbüro zur Umsetzung der UN-BRK der Landeshauptstadt München (Coordination Office for the Implementation of the UN CRPD of the City of Munich).
